Hi, I'm Kendra! I'm an Arkansas children's picture book author, former classroom teacher, and mom of three. My family and the remarkable children I've met through teaching and community work continue to inspire the stories I create.
I believe a picture book can do more than tell a beautiful story. It can encourage curiosity, celebrate differences, make a child feel seen, and create an opportunity to give back.
My first book, Charlie Horse, celebrates friendship and the special gifts each of us brings. Proceeds support HorsePlay, a nonprofit helping children through therapeutic riding and hippotherapy.
My second book, One in a Million: Rare Wonders, Rarest You, explores the extraordinary wonders of nature before turning the spotlight on what makes every child unique. A portion of its proceeds will benefit Connected Families, an Arkansas organization serving children and families.
